Apple may dominate the download music market but, with a potential subscriber base of 690 billion people, mobile music is a market share that mobile network operators and music companies are not going to let go to Apple.
Already, 23 mobile network operators have signed up to use a software called MusicStation which has been developed by UK firm Omnifone and will be pre-loaded on to new handsets including Nokia and Motorola.
Onifone hope to have their service up and running in all countries for when Apple iPhone launches in Europe.
